Dear Chicagoers that are protesting the Willis Tower name change:
Give me a break!
I’m bummed too. Chicago history, all that. It’s like Macy*s all over again.
But if you’re going to stand on a street corner with signs and petitions and donation jars and buttons and flyers, be protesting something important! This sucks, I know. But no one is dying or starving because of it. I know hardly anything is as bad as living every moment in danger of being raped or murdered, and that that doesn’t mean other problems don’t count, but if you’re going to the trouble, worry about the environment or the war. Not a name change that is perfectly legal. Murder is not.
